No more lunatics in federal government

Back in the Spring of 2012, three U.S. Senators sponsored a bill (S.2367) to strike the word “lunatic” from all federal government documents. Last month, after passing both the House and Senate, President Obama signed the bill making it Public Law No: 112-231.

Conrad Kent, the former Senator from North Dakota, wrote the 21st Century Language Act of 2012. Mike Crapo of Indiana and Mike Johans of Nebraska joined as co-sponsors. All hang the GOP label as their party affiliation.

The irony of the legislation will not go unnoticed.
